RigDzin Dharma's Building Fund


In 2009 we purchased our building to provide a stable home for our temple and a location in which to hold teachings from Tibetan Buddhist masters.

The RigDzin Dharma Foundation paid an initial down payment of $30,000 in 2009. Each year for the following three years, 2010-2012,  RigDzin Dharma has paid an annual balloon payment of $20,000 towards the purchase of our building as well as a monthly installment of $400 per month.  A few generous sangha members came forward and paid a lump sum of $5,000 towards our loan in 2011.

In this last and final year of paying our debt many sangha members, both individually and in groups, have signed up to sponsor all of the monthly payments of $400 between now and May 2013.

Because of the large hearts and great kindness of our sangha members, our final payment, due in May 31, 2013, is now a mere $5000!

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, RigDzin Dharma Foundation relies on the generous support of our sangha to meet our mortgage obligations. Fundraising events we regularly hold to benefit our building fund include bi-annual yard sales, a Buddhist Film Series, silent auctions and concerts. We also accept building fund donations from individual sangha members.

Thanks to the support of our generous sangha, we have successfully met our financial obligations four years in a row and we are one year away from owning our building.
