Mahamudra and Dharma Teachings
The RigDzin Dharma Center is overjoyed to welcome Khenchen Konchog Gyaltsen Rinpoche to give teachings at our Center on December 6, 7, and 8! Khenchen Rinpoche, in his sublime wisdom, will teach on several topics paramount in Tibetan Buddhism.
Friday night, Khenchen will discuss keeping the Bodhisattva principle when times get tough. Bodhisattatvas can reach a breaking point too, but as Avalokiteshvara shows us, they re-emerge with a thousand helping hands and a stronger commitment to the Bodhisattva vow.
Saturday, Khenchen will teach on Interdependence and Causality, key concepts in Buddhism that explain the nature of reality and the interconnectedness of all phenomena. All things and experiences are interconnected and arise in dependence on other factors. As Khenchen points out, “Everything functions within the framework of causality.” These concepts are central to understanding suffering and the path to liberation.
Sunday’s topic is supreme Mahamudra, the nature of all phenomena. The word “Mahamudra” means “great seal” because the true nature of mind marks or seals everything in reality. Khenchen will share skillful methods to help us realize the nature of our own mind and perceive outer phenomena as emptiness.
